Fay 32, 10mtr cruising yacht, 1995, steel.
Proven blue water boat with thousands of offshore miles. Current owners have lived aboard and cruised extensively for the last 10 years, including NY to NZ via the Panama. This is a very comfortable and seaworthy yacht with huge interior space for her size.
Major refit before 2010 cruise around the Pacific, including new windows, Lewmar forehatch, radar arch with 2 x 80 amp hour solar panels and Navico BR24 radar. New main Jan 2012, new Lavac vacuum head, recent eutectic (Ozefridge) fridge/freezer, Force 10 propane stove and galley countertops. Rigging professionally checked 2010 with new forestay.
Engine is a Kubota 37.5HP, installed new by owners in 2001 and has been regularly maintained with no problems at 3300hrs. Owners fitted an Autoprop, 3 bladed feathering prop which significantly improves performance and fuel consumption.
Equipment list is long, this boat has everything you need to cast off and head off on that circumnavigation.

Accomodation:

Double forepeak berth set off to one side to allow walk through instead of normal crawl. Custom made memory foam mattress, hanging wardrobe, draws, plenty of storage (including sail rack), flat screen TV and sound system.

Heads on starboard, aft of forepeak,with shower sump and new Lavac head - useful tool/work area opposite.

Main cabin, open and spacious with C shaped dining table and comfortable seating for 5, sound system and again plenty of storage

Galley

Very practical and attractive galley area, with recent new countertops in marble effect Corrian. Double sink, Force 10 propane stove with two burner, oven and grill, ample storage. Current owners have always cooked whilst underway and never experienced any difficulty in using the galley whilst at sea.

Double quarter berth

Aft of nav station, very comfortable sea berth. Nav station has large chart table with storage under and all equipment and electric panel to hand.

Lazerrette

Aft of galley provides plenty of dry storage under the cockpit, along with enclosed battery compartment.

Cockpit

Tiller steering, with comfortable seating for 4 (but many more have been accommodated), 2 interchangeable cockpit tables, one small, for whilst underway and one large for dining, cockpit light and LED anchor light on radar arch. Fabulous trim tab wind self steering, the current owners favourite piece of kit. Lewmar winches, primary and secondary. External speakers, and instrumentation.

Plywood Fiberglass dingy completely restored.
Originally built 1963
Centerboard, Watertight compartments forward and stern with access doors. Main and Gib sails in good condition. Stainless steel rigging.

I bought this boat as a project for my 8 year old son to restore and sail. We have moved onto a bigger boat and reluctantly sell this one.

Beyond Outrageous, a seasoned campaigner is on the market. Just finished S2H 2011 in 5th in her division well placed in an upwind race although better suited to downhill power reaching.
Ideal boat for Melbourne 2 Osaka previously placed 3rd with second rate sails, this has been rectified with a brand new sail wardrobe put together for the S2H 2011.
Ready to hit any start line, with current certificates for handicaps: IRC, ORCi, AMS with a good age allowance. Recently surveyed for Insurance purposes, rig reports included.
Recent wins include the Melbourne 2 Stanley where Beyond Outrageous was 3rd over the line in once again a mainly light wind race taking out AMS and Performance handicaps.
Reluctant sale of a great racer as we have decided to cruise around the world and as good as she is she is not designed to be lived on.
Redesigned keel and rudder with sugar scoop by David Lyons in 2002 for the Osaka 2003 campaign, positioned 3rd in Hot 12m class. Would have placed better except emergency repairs to Mainsail kept Beyond Outrageous in Eden for 3 days.
